Vision Statement
To promote peace and development in the Ogaden region of Ethiopia, to produce and achieve an internationally monitored comprehensive referendum, and to declare a bilateral ceasefire agreement between the Ethiopian government and the Ogaden National Liberation Front. To open all humanitarian, political, and economic access into the Ogaden region of Ethiopia, and to promote and engage the international community to orchestrate a long-term resolution to the Ogaden conflict. In addition, to build a strong financial base, in which will enable us to accomplish our short-term and long-term goals.
Mission Statement
To educate the local, national, and international community about the current crisis taking place in the Ogaden region of Ethiopia. To promote peace, democracy, human rights, and development in the Ogaden, to engage the international community in helping end the violence in the Ogaden, to promote peace negotiations between the Ogaden National Liberation Front and the Ethiopian regime, and to advocate the Ogadeni peoples’ right to self-determination.
Objectives
I. Form a coalition with non-profit organizations and agencies in pursuance of positive and productive changes in the Ogaden region.
II. Structure a comprehensive peace agreement between the Ogaden National Liberation Front and the Ethiopian Government.
III. Enforce the rights and liberties guaranteed in the Ethiopian constitution in the Ogaden region.
IV. Restrict the exploitation of the regions’ natural resources until the conflict in the Ogaden region is resolved.
V. Exert pressure on the international community to pursue an independent investigation pertaining to human rights violations in the Ogaden region.
