Resolve Ogaden Coalition
Resolve Ogaden Coalition is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping the Somali Ogaden people in Eastern Ethiopia. Headquartered in the United States, we are committed to ending the suffering and violence endured in the Ogaden region for centuries.
Tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children living in the Ogaden region are experiencing grave human rights abuses and war crimes. Thousands of people are displaced with no where to go, villages are burned to the ground and human life is constantly undervalued. Although the lack of human rights and civil liberties in the region are documented, the anguish and plight of the people in the Ogaden are often ignored and overlooked.This lack of respect for Human rights and human life in the Ogaden and the amount of attention the region receives prompted us to create a coalition devoted to securing the fundamental rights and needs of the ethnic Somali people in the Ogaden.
Our organization is devoted to:
- Ending the plight of the people
- Securing the interests of the people
- Safeguarding the rights and liberties of the people &
- Bringing international attention to the atrocities committed against the people
